More than a piano teacher, Donna Kay Croddy is a music mentor who develops a passion for excellence in her students. Donna Kay guides the student through the nuances, subtleties, and beauty of every piece she teaches. 2014 AWARDS NEWS
Piano students from the Croddy Music Studio participated in an audition sponsored by the National Guild of Piano Teachers on May 3.
Marissa Lee was awarded the highest honor the Guild confers—The High School Diploma. To qualify, a student must perform 10 memorized pieces with a highly advanced level of difficulty, in additon to six challenging musicianship phases.
Other Croddy Music Studio winners were Brendan Deppen, Ted Dudley, Emma Hunter, Rachael Hunter, Emma Lee, Anwen Liu, Lilian Liu, Ana Mashek, Cece Olszewski, Lauren Park, and Ella Schmidt.

Lauren Park was a winner of the 2019 George Slick Fellowship. She performed in a recital at Swarthmore College Lang Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4.
Lauren scored top honors at festivals at Temple University and West Chester University, and for four years, she was recognized as an International Winner in the National Piano Auditions of the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She has been a selected performer at numerous recitals, including the Pennsylvania State Showcase Recital for the past nine years and the Dr. Andor Kiszely Honors Concert at Rock Hall, Temple University.
October 2019
Ted Clark, Vincent Zhu, Daksha Nair, and Shannon Yue entered PA Music Teachers' Association auditions and were selected to play in the Showcase Recital at Penn State University on November 23, 2019. Each student was awarded the highest score and received a gold medal for performing two memorized pieces of different styles. In addition, they all passed written theory tests at the highest level. Daksha and Vincent also performed duets for which they were awarded gold medals.
